Se considera que tiene el mejor sabor típicamente Inglés; mucha demanda de hervidor de agua, late hopping y dry hopping. Utilizado en todas las cervezas de estilo inglés, especialmente todos los Bitters y Pale Ale, Ales de estilo belga, Vino de cebada.

Origen: Británico. Una antigua variedad inglesa de larga tradición originaria de Kent; el nombre Goldings cubre un grupo de variedades similares conocidas como Cobbs, Amos’ Early Bird, Eastwell, Bramling, Canterbury y Mathon.

Agronomía: Sensible al marchitamiento; susceptible tanto al moho polvoriento como al moho velloso.
